Camburg KINETIK Series 2.5 Bump Stop 6.4" Can (Stem/Flat Top)

Something as simple as bump stop cans have room for improvement, and we did just that. Our KINETIK 2.5 bump stop cans are the strongest and highest quality on the market. We also designed them to work with both stem top and 4-bolt flat top 2.5 bump stops. Offered in 3 sizes, our 6.4 in. length version is designed for most 2-3 in. stroke bump stops for front or rear applications. We use this can on the front of our KINETIK race trucks as the longer length gives a little more surface area for attachment. Refer to our CAD image for stem top and bolt-on dimensions. We start with a much thicker walled 4130 chromoly sleeve and profile CNC machine the ID to reduce distortion with added support to the bump stop body. We then laser weld the top cap into the sleeve to finish it off. The laser welding process ensures maximum weld penetration with minimal warping or HAZ. We did extensive comparative strength testing compared to standard TIG welding and the laser welding process was significantly stronger withstanding much higher loads. This attention to detail is done so the bump stops slip-in correctly after you’re done welding the cans to your custom mounts or chassis.
