When lifting your 07'-21' Tundra, 08'-22' Sequoia, the stock upper arms become the limiting factor and hold back your suspension's performance. Our Camburg upper arms address these issues and more. We build more caster and change the camber curve to correct geometry, so the vehicle aligns correctly and improves driving characteristics and handling. We replace the stock ball-joint with our Camburg X-Joint for increased strength, longevity and high misalignment, allowing for maximum wheel travel. The X-Joint is a high performance, all-weather, all conditions, high angle ball joint. These fully sealed and greaseable joints are perfect for extreme conditions, so dirt, sand, rain, mud and snow are no match for them. The tubular construction also gives you more tire & shock clearance compared to the weaker stock stamped sheet metal arms. Manufactured in-house, we have the tubes CNC laser cut and bent, then are MIG welded in precision fixtures before sending out to be sandblasted and powder coated. Step by step instructions, with all the necessary hardware, ensure a successful installation for your next off-road adventure.
Hi I have installed these UCAs on my 2013 Tundra. Currently my caster is at 7.5* and the LCAs are in a neutral position. I’m am looking to fit larger tires however my current tire set up is getting close to the body mount and would like to get a little more space. My question is if I shift the lower ball joint forward to increase clearance I believe that would increase my caster quite a bit. Maybe 8+. Would this be too high of a caster? What are your recommendations? The current lift is just under 2”. Thank you, Marcus
Yes, adjusting the LCA forward will increase positive caster. For your situation, we would recommend modifying the body mounts (cut & plate) for more tire clearance if you haven’t already, which is very common, and/or slightly increasing the ride height since you’re under 2 in. of lift. Wheel offset also affects tire clearance, so we recommend a positive offset wheel with 5.75-6.00 in. of backspacing for more clearance and improved handling.
